From HotWheels' Official Ferrari Formula One Collection comes the 1982 San Marino GP #26 Ferrari 126 C2 driven by  Didier Pironi. For more information please see product description & image provided.

The 126 C2 had Ferrari's first pure monocoque chassis, which was constructed of aluminium honeycomb and carbon fiber, and was also equipped with full ground effects skirts. The twin turbocharged V6 in the C2 was one of the most reliable and powerful engines in Formula 1, developing 580 HP at 11,000 rpm and up to 750 HP when qualifying. The 126 C2 was state-of-the-art. Even though Ferrari won the Constructor's Championship in 1982 with the 126 C2, the car will be remembered for its drivers. At Imola, Didier Pironi passed team mate Gilles Villeneuve against team orders to win the San Marino GP, starting the chain of events that would result in Villeneuve's death two weeks later at Zolder and Pironi's career-ending collision later that year at Hockenheim.
