The 1972 Australian Touring Car Championship third round at Bathurst was one of the greatest contests ever. From the start, Moffat, Geoghegan, Jane and Norm Beechey in his yellow Holden Monaro HT350 would battle it out. All attention was on the duel between Geoghegan and Moffat so when Jane was forced out with piston failure and Beechey with a broken gearbox they left the circuit virtually unnoticed. A disappointing end for Norm in Round 3. He gained 3rd place in round 4 but unreliability plagued the car for the remaining season. From Classic Carlectables' Touring Car Collection series.
