Although the body styling clearly took its cue from the Holden HQ Statesman, the changes under the skin brought the HZ to new comfort levels. The introduction of RTS(Radial Tuned Suspension) amongst other refinements brought a whole new level of comfort to the Statesman line. With GTS instrument cluster and steering wheel, the SL/E was a fine blend of sportiness and supreme comfort, sitting between De Ville and the top of the line Caprice in trim level.
