Donny’s weekly Friday night track, Red River Valley Speedway, rained out so he, his father Danny, and crew chief Doug Slocum headed to Grand Forks Speedway (now River Cities Speedway) to run with the newly-formed 410 series, the Northern Outlaw Sprint Association.
Donny parked it on the front stretch that night, claiming his first career 410 Sprint Car win.
Following his win at Grand Forks Speedway, Donny rattled off four wins in five weeks in WISSOTA 360 Sprint Car action at Red River Valley Speedway.
