Chrysler Charger - NSW Police Highway Patrol Vehicle - Don't miss out!!!! Classic Carlectables -
Features Include:
The Charger had a very big impact on the Australian car market and it soon came to the attention of the police. It was the VJ model that was especially made for police duty, given the unique 'K' option package. Initially in NSW, unmarked cars were used by the STP (special traffic control). By all accounts police drivers were happy with the Charger's excellent performance and reliability. It was very much a wolf in sheep's clothing. The fact that the Charger for Highway Patrol work was used throughout its production life speaks for itself. The 'K' package included an additional speedometer, CB radio and sports style instruments complimented by a black finish. The stock 265 Hemi got E49 conrods, crankshaft, heavy duty bearings dual outlet exhaust and six pack Webers.
