1:32 Forces of Valor Russian Heavy Tank KV-1 Eastern Front 1944
In 1941, the KV-1 was arguably the toughest tank on the wintry battlefields of the Eastern Front --- and perhaps of WWII. Armed with a powerful 76.2 mm gun and a thick, armoured hide capable of withstanding most anti-tank fire, it proved a formidable opponent for the Germans. Despite its strengths, the KV-1 suffered a number of weaknesses --- an underpowered engine incapable of efficiently pushing the weight of up-armoured tank, a drivetrain prone to mechanical problems, and poor manoeuvrability allowed it to fall prey to faster, more nimble armour at the spearhead of the German advance.
