The XF was the first Falcon not to include a V8 option since the XR Falcon 18 years earlier and also saw the introduction of unleaded fuel in Australia. The third and final modification in XD/XE/XF range, the XF remains the highest selling Falcon, with over 278,000 built during its run from 1984 to 1988.
