The 'Lightning Bolt' XK issue combined Alpine White with a side-flash in contrasting Pacific Blue. This was produced as a limited edition of 3,000.

When Ford launched the XK Falcon, and estimated 500,000 people flocked to dealers to see this much-awaited car on announcement day. Some 68,495 XK's were produced for 23 months across a total of four different body shapes.
