The Trax XK wagon was announced at the same time as its TR26 sedan counterparts. As was the case with the XK commercial models, collector interest in the first wagons was lukewarm and again raises the question of the viability of tooling up for models in body shapes other than the sedan. All of the features and detail of the sedan were carried across to the wagon, including the plastic baseplate. The Deluxe version of the wagon (TR30C) was released in 1999 and finished in a two-tone paint scheme of Broadmeadow Green and Merino White. This release also saw the baseplate upgraded from plastic to diecast.
