Initially 15,000 pieces were cast for this model however 5000 were allocated to the John Bowe car No. 18 (TRAX no. 8021B and another 5000 were scrapped, leaving 5000 ofthe Dick Johnson to be released. This model had a two-piece rear stabiliser, finished in the striking red livery of Shell Ultra and carried Dick's traditional number '17'.
