The basis for the first Trax 'Motorsport' model was a black and white photograph of entry number 76 in the 1955 Redex Trial. the photograph was assessed by an expert in the field and the information required to produce the model was deduced with as was found later, almost 100% accuracy. Finished in medium blue with black front mudguards, with the majority of the sponsorship details in the white and 'REDEX TRIAL' in red and white on the front doors, the model depicted a fine example of a 1950s trial competitor. It was released in 1987, immediately found favour with collectors and casual buyers alike and was quickly sold out.
