This is a highly detailed in authentic 1/72 scale diecast replica of a WWII German Panzer II Ausf. F tank from premium quality replicas producer: Hobby Master.

In 1934 there were delays in design and production for what would be the Panzer III and IV tanks. The temporary solution was the Panzer II or Panzerkampfwagen II (PzKpfw). It was a larger version of the Panzer I but with a 20 mm anti-tank gun. The Panzer II was in production from 1937 to 1943 and remained in service until 1945. The Ausf. C was the most produced variant of the Panzer II. The Panzer II chassis was used to produce several other types of tanks.

The 10th Panzer Division was formed in Prague in March 1939 as part of Army Group North. The 10th PD later fought in the battle of France, Siege of Calais, Operation Barbarossa and the Battle of Tunisia. After Operation Torch in 1942 the division was sent to Tunisia arriving in December as part of the 5th Panzer Army. Over the next several months the 10th Panzer Division battled the British and Americans. At first the Germans inflicted heavy losses but eventually the tide turned forcing the German surrender on May12, 1943.
